Middle School is a time when students develop further learning skills and enhance their knowledge of core subjects, developing a deeper understanding of issues and higher-level learning outcomes in preparation for their transition into Senior School.
The Middle School curriculum is designed to cultivate independent high achieving learners through an environment where exploration, innovation and aspiration is nurtured. Explicit Instruction remains a core teaching strategy, as Middle School students are encouraged to utilise critical thinking and creativity when engaging with the curriculum. Years 5-8 sees students involved in collaborative, inquiry and problem-based learnings as they progress through the Middle School.
The Senior School program is designed to ensure that each student has the best possible preparation and opportunity to move into the tertiary pathway of their choice, or to any other appropriate pathway. We are guided by our School motto “every student matters every day” and intentionally create experiences to foster a lifelong love of learning.
Spreading their VCE program over three years allows our Senior School students to manage their workload and balance their learning with other passions and interests. Senior students combine their studies with diverse extra-curricular activities, community and cultural activities which enrich their lives.
Haileybury students don’t just learn here – they flourish. Backed by our strong teaching and developmental framework, which continues to be awarded for the exceptional academic outcomes and opportunities it delivers for students.
Haileybury Pangea was born out of a long-standing digital strategy that has proven success in online learning. Classes integrate video, audio and digital whiteboards to engage and accelerate every student’s learning.
Strong academic results are at the heart of our culture and national testing (NAPLAN) and VCE (ATAR) results consistently rate Haileybury as one of Australia's leading private schools.
Our brilliant teachers are chosen for their qualifications and expertise in education, their ability to nurture successful learning in an online environment and their capability to form positive relationships with students keen to expand their learning horizons.
Haileybury Pangea students who successfully complete all requirements of the VCE or a VET course are awarded suitable qualifications, all of which are recognised in Australia and internationally.
